Scientists test all new drugs to ensure every drug your doctor may need to treat you or someone from your family has been completely studied.  That's why we all rely on sophisticated laboratories to help us improve the quality of our lives and keep us safe from disease, because no drug can be considered safe for humans until its effects have been thoroughly studied and tested.  The medicines these laboratories test are good for our health, and the jobs these laboratories create are healthy for our economy.  And unlike many other industries, the need for facilities that do advanced medical research will be around for a very long time.
