As stakeholders in the Arizona community, Arizona CURE seeks to improve our quality of life by attracting industries that are well-suited to our existing population of skilled, educated workers. The time has come to make the most of our workforce and our university education system and build upon Arizona's early success in recruiting prestigious entities like the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), the Mayo Clinic and the International Genomics Consortium (IGC). Another indicator of growth: Arizona's grants from the National Institute of Health have increased 30 percent since from 2001 to 2004, with a total of $217 million in federal grants for 2007.
