The most important thing that I found out about diabetic meal plan is that I could still have my desserts. The key is to eat in moderation. There are certain items that I do not like to eat, which I would have to include into my diabetic meal plan from now onwards. For instance, I need to start eating whole grain, beans, and whole barley. I do not mind granola and muesli, as I love them but brown rice and beans are some of the things that I could live without eating daily. I found some interesting recipes for diabetes that have all sorts of beans, which actually look rather delicious. I am interested in trying the recipes soon. I am glad that I could still eat mangoes, bananas, and papayas, which are fruits with lower glycemic index. These fruits are good for those with diabetes. The best thing about the diabetic meal plan is that my husband and kids can enjoy it too.
