Citizens Against Covance can't decide who writes their letters to the editor (July 7, 2007 SanTan Sun News) The same letter, under different names, has appeared in the Chandler Connection and the SanTan Sun. Once it is written by Norm Haskett, and once by CAC ringleader Jan McClellan making it ridiculous times two. McClellan/Haskett parody a proposed rejection of things British by listing ad nauseam every famous Brit that every lived. Far from stylistic hyperbole, this letter borders on the obsessive - and it fails to take into account the historical meaning of partly rejecting British infl uence (tea tax) and embracing it (representative government). If these two cosmopolitans just can't understand the difference between animal rights extremism (born and bred in England, though without English manners) and English Common Law, no wonder that they can't tell who's supposed to write their letters.
Thank you very much! Mike Martinez, Chandler
